Todd Bowles joined his team at their hospital in Foxboro, Massachusetts Saturday morning and will coach the New York Jets in their Week 16 game against the New England Patriots.
More details have been reported about Bowles’ admittance to a hospital Friday night. He was suffering chest and abdominal pains and was vomiting, according to Ian Rapoport. The team feared at one point that Bowles was experiencing a heart attack.
Assistant coach Mike Caldwell, who was slated to fill in if Bowles couldn’t coach the game, ran the Jets’ Friday walkthrough.
The Jets said Bowles may coach from the sideline or from the coaches’ booth.
