New York Jets

New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson was arrested in South Florida Friday morning and is facing charges of harm to a public servant/family, reckless driving, eluding police, and resisting arrest. according to Andy Slater.

Anderson is facing nine total charges, according to police records.

Details of Anderson’s arrest are still coming to light. This is the second time in seven months Anderson has had a run-in with the law. Last May, Anderson was arrested at the Rolling Loud Music Festival in Miami and was charged with felony counts of resisting arrest and obstruction of justice. That case is ongoing.

Anderson, an undrafted free agent out of Temple, had a career year during his second professional season and was one of the best stories of the season for Gang Green. Anderson caught 63 passes for 941 yards and seven touchdowns and scored in five consecutive games.

“We are aware of the situation,” the Jets said in a statement. “This is a pending legal matter and we will have no further comment.”

Anderson was not disciplined by the league for his May arrest. Suddenly, one of New York’s seldom success stories is becoming a headache off the field.

Jet Fuel will continue to update this story as more details emerge.
