New York Jets defensive end Leonard Williams left Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints with an apparent head injury.
Williams went to the locker room late in the third quarter when the Saints led the Jets 17-13.
He had a starring moment in the first half when he intercepted Brees at the line, with the Saints backed up in their own territory. The takeaway resulted in a New York field goal.
It only led to three points, but this is a tremendous play by Leonard Williams. #Jets pic.twitter.com/XLb3sT926U

Williams only has managed two sacks in 2017, and was sackless for the first eight games, after recording seven sacks a year ago.
The Jets’ defensive line, which used to be arguably its biggest strength, has become a shell of itself. Muhammad Wilkerson did not travel to New Orleans with the team as a punishment for constant tardiness to team meetings, according to coach Todd Bowles. Without Williams on the field, the defensive line consists of Steve McLendon, Mike Pennel and Kony Ealy, with others possibly rotating in.
